Buyer:
An individual or business customer purchasing through the online store at www.silkeatextil.com.
2. General Provisions
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all online sales conducted through www.silkeatextil.com.
By confirming an order, the Buyer acknowledges having read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
3. Orders and Contract Formation
You can select products directly from our online store at www.silkeatextil.com.
Once you complete your order and the payment has been successfully processed (by card, bank transfer, or cash on delivery), your purchase is confirmed.
After your order is placed, it will be prepared and dispatched on the next business day. You will also receive an email containing your order summary and payment details for your records.
Note: In the rare event that an item becomes unavailable or cannot be supplied after your order has been confirmed, we will notify you immediately and offer an exchange or a full refund.
4. Prices and Payment
We accept major international credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other cards supported by the Global Payments secure system.
All card transactions are processed through Global Payments’ 3D Secure 2 (3DS2) protection and meet EU security standards.
SilkeaTextil does not store or process any payment information — all payments are securely handled by the authorized payment gateway.
We also accept bank transfers and cash on delivery (Dobierka) for orders within Slovakia only.
Please note that cash on delivery orders include an additional handling fee of €1.50, which covers the courier company’s handling service (DPD or GLS).
This fee is included in the invoice and collected as part of the total order amount; it is not collected separately by the courier at delivery.
5. Delivery and Shipping
Within Slovakia and the European Union, we ship orders using reliable courier partners such as DPD and GLS, ensuring fast and secure delivery.
For destinations outside the EU, international shipping can be arranged upon request, depending on the destination and available logistics options.
Shipping costs and delivery times for such orders will be communicated and agreed upon individually before confirming the order.
6. Right of Withdrawal
• Consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without stating any reason.
• The withdrawal period begins on the day the goods are received.
• The notice of withdrawal must be submitted in writing or by e-mail.
• Returned products must be unused, undamaged, and preferably in their original packaging.
• In accordance with Article 16 of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to handmade, custom-made, or personalized items (e.g., hand-painted silk or made-to-order pieces).
• Return shipping costs are borne by the consumer.
• The Seller will refund the purchase price within 14 days after receiving the returned item.
7. Complaints and Product Liability
• The Seller is responsible for manufacturing defects in accordance with Slovak law.
• SilkeaTextil products are handcrafted items made using 99% natural root dyes and traditional woodblock and stone printing techniques.
Silk items are hand-painted and joined with felt through a unique handmade process.
• Due to the handmade nature of the products, minor variations in color, pattern, or texture are natural and do not constitute a manufacturing defect.
• Because of their delicate structure, SilkeaTextil products require special care.
The Seller bears no responsibility for damage resulting from improper use or maintenance.
The following types of user-related damage are not covered by warranty and are non-refundable:
– Incorrect washing, drying, or ironing
– Use of bleach, detergent, or strong chemical cleaners
– Contact with wet wipes, alcohol-based liquids, or solvents
– Use of tumble dryers or exposure to excessive heat
– Prolonged exposure to sunlight or humidity
– Mechanical damage, tearing, pulling, or natural wear and tear
• Only complaints involving verifiable manufacturing defects will be accepted.
In the event of a valid complaint, the product will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at the Seller’s discretion.
• The Seller undertakes to process and resolve all complaints within 30 days.
8. Personal Data Protection (GDPR)
• The Seller processes personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation 2016/679).
• Personal data is used solely for order processing and customer service purposes.
• Personal data is not shared with third parties, except with logistics or payment service providers.
• Customers have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of their data.

9. Dispute Resolution
• The parties agree to seek an amicable resolution before initiating formal proceedings.
• Consumers may submit complaints to the Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI):

10. Final Provisions
• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic.
• The Seller reserves the right to modify these terms without prior notice.

11. Force Majeure / Extraordinary Events
SilkeaTextil shall not be held liable for delays or failure to fulfill orders resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, regulatory restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
